Oak Forest took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Bradley-Bourbonnais, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bengals had just enough and edged out the Boilermakers 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Bengals as they're now sitting on five straight.

Oak Forest pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Oak Forest will challenge Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, they will face off against Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Boilermakers 3.6, the Griffins 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
