Given Lake Fenton's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Owosso is ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brandon has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Lake Fenton, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
