Basketball Recap: North Springs Comes Up Short

North Springs extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 61-27 defeat at the hands of the Southwest DeKalb Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since January 16th.

As for Southwest DeKalb, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 69.3 points this season.

Thomas Glanton, III had an outrageously good game as he went 10-for-16 to rack up 24 points and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Jackson Ushery was another key player, putting up 12 points.

North Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-37 defeat against St. Pius X Catholic on the 21st. As for Southwest DeKalb, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-19 win against Northview on the 20th.
