Volleyball Recap: Grosse Pointe South Gets the Win

It was close, but on Saturday the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils sidestepped the Skyline Eagles for a 2-1 win.

Grosse Pointe South's offense was headlined by Gabby DiVita and Sydney Hoffman, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Lucy Edwards and her 24 assists. Hoffman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The victory got Grosse Pointe South back to even at 9-9-1. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-2.

Grosse Pointe South has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Marysville on the 27th. As for Skyline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Imlay City on the 27th.
