Soccer Game Preview: Bellflower vs. La Mirada

The Bellflower Buccaneers will venture away from home to face off against the La Mirada Matadores at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bellflower lost 4-1 to Firebaugh on Tuesday. Bellflower have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, La Mirada fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Dominguez on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dons by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that La Mirada have lost by just one goal.

La Mirada's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bellflower, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-2.

Bellflower was able to grind out a solid victory over La Mirada when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Buccaneers repeat their success, or do the Matadores have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
