Basketball Recap: Denver Academy of Torah Starts off Right with Win over William Smith + How To Watch

Denver Academy of Torah had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 63-57 W over the William Smith Eagles on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Denver Academy of Torah got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Avi Askenazi out in front who went 7-for-14 on his way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance also gave Askenazi a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Ami Gelman, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Looking ahead, Denver Academy of Torah will venture away from home to take on The Vanguard School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for William Smith, they will welcome Regis Groff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
