Volleyball Recap: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Anaheim Colonists
Magnolia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Anaheim Colonists. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colonists this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 5th.
Magnolia actually scored more points across those five sets (101-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 16-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Magnolia's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Anaheim, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Magnolia is set to square off against their familiar foe Savanna at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Anaheim will take on rival Los Amigos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
