Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Harrison). They managed an 83-78 win over the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Jacob Wamsley and Kendall Armstrong certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Wamsley went 10-for-15 on his way to 25 points, while Armstrong shot 67% from the field to rack up 17 points and six rebounds. Wamsley is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Ian Harris was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 12 points and six assists.

South Harrison's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Tygarts Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. South Harrison will venture away from home to face off against Ritchie County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ritchie County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season. As for Tygarts Valley, they will square off against Paw Paw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paw Paw also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 60.2 points per game.
