Volleyball Recap: Corry Extends Winning Streak to Three

Corry entered their tilt with General McLane on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Lancers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Beavers have posted against the Lancers since September 3, 2016.

Grace Allen paced Corry's offense, picking up four kills. Allen got some help from Haley Mumau and her 11 assists. Finally, Allen was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Corry's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for General McLane, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Corry and General McLane will both be playing Meadville the next time they take the court. The Beavers will head out to face the Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lancers will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
