There's no place like home for Shippensburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the West Perry Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Shippensburg was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 18-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Azula Navarro paced Shippensburg's offense, picking up 18 kills. Navarro got some help from Kacie Mentzer and her 28 assists. Navarro was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Shippensburg's win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13. As for West Perry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shippensburg will host Manheim Township at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Perry, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against James Buchanan at 6:30 p.m.
