Baseball Recap: Somerset Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against American

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Somerset Academy). They put the hurt on the American Patriots with a sharp 17-5 win on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Miguel Gonzalez looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Somerset Academy got a massive performance out of Ryan Marichal, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Tristan Sierra was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
