If Life Oak Cliff wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Whitesboro, they should've done a better job of containing Justin Knight. The Bearcats walked away with a 29-21 win over the Lions on Friday with plenty of help from Knight, who rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 107 rushing yards per game.

Whitesboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Camron Howard and Ian Bruce.

Despite the defeat, Life Oak Cliff saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sukora ' Sip' Cooper Jr rushed for 24 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 61 receiving yards. Arthur Washington also helped out with an impressive 106 receiving yards.

Whitesboro now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Life Oak Cliff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Whitesboro and Life Oak Cliff will both be playing Madison the next time they take the field. The Bearcats will host the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
