Volleyball Recap: Pillow Academy Takes a Loss

Pillow Academy lost against Hartfield Academy back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Sarah Kathryn Smith paced Pillow Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Mary Countiss Roberson and her eight assists.

Among those leading the charge was Logan Swan, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since September 6th. Charlotte Oates also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Pillow Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Hartfield Academy, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 19-10.

Pillow Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Simpson Academy on the 7th. As for Hartfield Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Jackson Academy on the 2nd.
