Baseball Recap: Nevada Union Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Nevada Union's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Shasta Wolves on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Miners' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Nevada Union got a good showing from Conner Hassfeld, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Nevada Union has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Shasta, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevada Union will venture away from home to face off against Reed at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Shasta, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pleasant Valley at 2:00 p.m. on the 29th.
