Basketball Game Preview: Bowie Bulldogs vs. Cedar Ridge Raiders

The Bowie Bulldogs and the Cedar Ridge Raiders will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. One thing working in Bowie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Bowie and LBJ Austin, and Bowie kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 79-50 victory over the Jaguars. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pasadena Memorial.

Cedar Ridge now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Bowie, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Bowie took their win against Cedar Ridge in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 55-32 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
