Basketball Game Preview: Sidney Yellowjackets vs. Trotwood-Madison Rams

The Sidney Yellowjackets will challenge the Trotwood-Madison Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sidney has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Last Saturday, Sidney was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-55 to Tippecanoe. While the Yellowjackets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 16-10 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Trotwood-Madison sidestepped Taft for a 48-46 victory. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Senators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Trotwood-Madison's win came from a few key players Sidney will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Adriana Woodward, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high. Mariah Thompson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Trotwood-Madison's record now sits at 6-15. As for Sidney, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Sidney was taken down by Trotwood-Madison 86-31 when the teams last played back in January of 2019. Can Sidney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
