Volleyball Recap: New Orleans Charter Science & Math Chambered Nautilus vs. Young Audiences Yacs
New Orleans Charter Science & Math was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Young Audiences Yacs, falling 3-0. The Chambered Nautilus were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yacs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-10.
Leading Young Audiences to victory were Julyanise Leiva and Bria James. Leiva had 31 assists and two aces, while James had six aces. Those six aces gave James a new career-high.
New Orleans Charter Science & Math's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Young Audiences, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
New Orleans Charter Science & Math will welcome Booker T. Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Young Audiences, they will head out on the road to challenge Livingston Collegiate Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
