Basketball Recap: Malakai Mccoy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Trinity + How To Watch

Hoopa Valley won the last time they faced Trinity and things went their way on Monday too. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolves, sneaking past 75-73. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since December 21, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hoopa Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malakai McCoy, who posted 26 points and seven steals. The contest was McCoy's third in a row with at least 23 points. Carlos Anzora was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Ryker Robles, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 14 boards. Robles is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Wesley Dresselhaus, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.

Hoopa Valley now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Hoopa Valley is taking a road trip to face off against Durham at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity, they will square off against Modoc at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
