Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They blew past the Hillsboro Indians 43-21 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aden Osborne led the charge by picking up 229 receiving yards and four scores. The Blue Lions are 3-1 when Osborne posts 100 or more receiving yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Washington also got a significant boost from Andrew Young, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 149 yards.

Washington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Wesley Gibbs and Matthew Colflesh, who each picked up one interception apiece. Another thorn in Hillsboro's side was Kiontae Tyree, who made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Washington now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hillsboro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Washington has already played their next matchup, a 48-15 victory against Miami Trace on the 24th. As for Hillsboro, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-34 win against McClain on the 24th.
