After a string of four wins, Mooresville's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Ambassador Christian School Lions by a score of 3-2.

Mooresville started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 21-25, 25-21, 25-13, 15-8.

When it comes to explaining why Mooresville lost, don't look at Reagan Young. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and three assists. Young has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Among those leading the charge was Anna Deal, who had 17 digs. Those 17 digs gave her a new career-high.

Mooresville's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Ambassador Christian School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Mooresville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Davie County on the 7th. Ambassador Christian School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
