Baseball Game Preview: Forrest County Agricultural Aggies vs. Long Beach Bearcats

The Forrest County Agricultural Aggies will face off against the Long Beach Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Forrest County Agricultural will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Forrest County Agricultural's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Pass Christian. While the Aggies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Forrest County Agricultural got a massive performance out of Parks Brock, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Lee Roberts III was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Long Beach didn't have quite enough to beat Ocean Springs on Saturday and fell 5-4. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne Ulrich was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Cayden Einhaus also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Forrest County Agricultural pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Long Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Forrest County Agricultural's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game.
