Football Game Preview: Brazosport Exporters vs. Almeta Crawford Chargers

Brazosport is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. After each having a week off, they and the Almeta Crawford Chargers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Brazosport is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Brazosport was beaten by Bay City 53-3. While losing is never fun, the Exporters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 762nd, while the Blackcats are ranked 202nd).

Meanwhile, Almeta Crawford beat West Orange-Stark 29-22 last Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Almeta Crawford's win came from a few key players Brazosport will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alvin Mosley, who picked up 76 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score. Another player making a difference was Braylen Fisher, who threw for 162 yards and a pair of TDs.

Almeta Crawford's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Brazosport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
