Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Oakland-Craig's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Oakland-Craig had won three straight road games and Braylon Anderson did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Oakland-Craig Knights secured a 59-53 W over the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays thanks in part to Anderson, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points along with eight boards and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

Corbin Guill was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.

Oakland-Craig has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Oakland-Craig will be playing at home against Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Oakland-Craig is facing Madison at the right time seeing as Madison is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
