Volleyball Recap: Bushland Takes a Loss

Bushland was the 3-0 winner over Wylie when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Bushland actually scored more points across those five sets (111-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 24-26, 10-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Wylie was led to victory by Morgan Bearden and Kiki Bolden. Bearden had ten digs and two assists, while Bolden had 23 kills, 17 digs, and six aces. Bolden is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least seven every time she's taken the court this season.

Bushland's loss dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Wylie, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Bushland will take on Permian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wylie, they will head out to challenge Stephenville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
