Volleyball Recap: Churchill Wins Going Away Against LEE

Churchill won the last time they faced LEE and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Volunteers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

The win didn't come easy: LEE scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

Olivia Huereca paced Churchill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Huereca got some help from Sofia Sedano and her 36 assists. Huereca was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Churchill's victory bumped their record up to 22-13. As for LEE, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Churchill will take on rival Madison at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, LEE is set to square off against their familiar foe Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
