After both having extra time off, the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors and the Resurrection Christian Cougars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Eagle Ridge Academy will be strutting in after a win while Resurrection Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Eagle Ridge Academy took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Strasburg, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors won by a set and slipped past the Indians 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since October 26, 2024.

Eagle Ridge Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Strasburg into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Eagle Ridge Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keilyn Greenfield led the charge by getting ten digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Eagle Ridge Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. They served three more aces than Strasburg's also-impressive total of 16.

Meanwhile, Resurrection Christian faced Valor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Eagle Ridge Academy will have to contain Blake Coors as she made an impact in Resurrection Christian's last game. She had 24 digs and one assist. Coors is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Eagle Ridge Academy's win ended an eight-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for Resurrection Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 21-2.
