Basketball Recap: Lucas Antonio's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dayton over Hoboken

Dayton lost against Hoboken back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Dayton Bulldogs came up short against the Hoboken Redwings, falling 57-37. The Bulldogs were down 43-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Dayton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lucas Antonio, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Antonio is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicky Perez, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Dayton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hoboken, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Dayton will face off against New Providence at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hoboken, they are taking a road trip to take on Snyder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
