After a string of four wins, West Caldwell's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the Bandys Trojans, falling 11-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this matchup were averaging 2.44 runs allowed.

West Caldwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Bowman, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

West Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 16-2. As for Bandys, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Caldwell will face off against East Burke at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.74 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bandys, they will take on Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
