Softball Recap: Willamette Takes a Loss

Willamette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Roseburg Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-1 defeat on Saturday.

Willamette saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macy Rush, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Willamette's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Roseburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Willamette is set to challenge their familiar foe Grants Pass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Roseburg will take on rival North Medford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 2.2, the Black Tornado 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
