Basketball Recap: Bolton Academy Comes Up Short

Bolton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-31 loss at the hands of the Montgomery Tigers. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Royce Roberts and Kerry Simmons certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Roberts posted 14 points along with five assists and four steals, while Simmons earned 15 points. That was a full 48.4% of Bolton Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row Simmons has scored more than a third of the team's points. Londen Mason also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Bolton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Bolton Academy will host Westminster Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery, they will head out to challenge Hornbeck at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
