If A.L. Brown was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Olympic on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wonders lost 3-0 to the Watauga Pioneers on Wednesday. The Wonders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-14.

Kelli Torrence paced A.L. Brown's offense, picking up three kills. Torrence got some help from Myla McNeely and her five assists.

Watauga was led to victory by Caroline Childers and Lilli Combs. Childers had 20 digs and two aces, while Combs had ten digs and three aces. Childers is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.

A.L. Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Watauga, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, A.L. Brown will take on Central Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Watauga, they will face off against Hickory Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
