Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Robertsdale had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 4-6 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the East Central Hornets by a score of 51-39. This was a revenge game for the Golden Bears: when they faced off against the Hornets on Tuesday, they had to take a 74-63 defeat.

As for East Central, they now have a losing record of 4-5. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, East Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trey Maryland posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Howard, who scored nine points.

Coming up, Robertsdale is taking a road trip to take on St. Luke's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wayne County at 7:00 p.m. The Hornets will need to watch out since the War EaglesLady War Eagles have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
