Basketball Recap: Caden Stickney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hamilton over Sutter

If Hamilton was feeling good fresh off their 58-33 takedown of East Nicolaus last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hamilton Braves came up short against the Sutter Huskies on Thursday, falling 70-50. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Hamilton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caden Stickney, who posted 23 points. The dominant performance gave Stickney a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kayden Strong, who put up 12 points.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sutter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-53 victory against Oroville on the 13th. As for Sutter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-55 loss against Bear River on the 13th.
