Basketball Recap: Lily Grant Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Timpview

It was a Battle of the Birds when Skyridge duked it out with Timpview on Tuesday. The Falcons strolled past the Thunderbirds with points to spare, taking the game 62-47. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 63-59 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Skyridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Grant, who shot 67% from the field en route to 17 points. Those 17 points gave Grant a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Chiara, who posted 11 points along with six assists and four steals.

Skyridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 64.5 points this season. As for Timpview, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Skyridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Copper Hills at 7:00 p.m. As for Timpview, they will venture away from home to square off against Lehi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
