The David Anderson Blue Devils will head out to face off against the Jackson-Milton Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Things were looking good for David Anderson after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 13-7 to Toronto.

Abby Ammon and Emelia Cook did some serious damage despite the final result: Ammon scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Cook went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Sofia Brown was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Salem with a sharp 8-2 victory.

Katie Byers made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Byers was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Charly Estes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Gabby Kerr, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
