For the first time this season, Atwater will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Buhach Colony Thunder will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Atwater will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
While Atwater's victory against Pitman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Pride 29-26.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Atwater proved: they limited Pitman to a paltry 3.5 yards per carry. The Falcons didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.2.
Meanwhile, Buhach Colony was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 20-14 to Lodi.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Charles Peterson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Buhach Colony's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Diego Flores and Jose Silva, who racked up all four sacks between them. Silva has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Atwater now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Buhach Colony, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Atwater has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 380.4 total yards per game. It's a different story for Buhach Colony, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 239.4 total yards. Will Atwater be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Thunder flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Atwater against Buhach Colony when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-6 win. In that game, the Falcons amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
