Basketball Recap: Griffith Takes a Loss

Griffith lost against Washington Township back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 37-27 to the Senators.

Washington Township's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Heidi Stump, who posted 16 points and five steals. What's more, Stump also posted a 25% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024. Brooklyn Campbell was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Griffith's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Washington Township, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Griffith will challenge East Chicago Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington Township, they will venture away from home to square off against Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
