Basketball Recap: Cocoa Beach Comes Up Short

Cocoa Beach lost against Titusville last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cocoa Beach Minutemen took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titusville Terriers.

Despite the loss, Cocoa Beach still got an impressive performance from Aariyah Robinson, who went 5 of 12 en route to 15 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Robinson has posted since back in January.

Titusville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedie Sanders, who posted 23 points and four steals. Sanders is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braniyah Brown, who had six points and five rebounds.

Cocoa Beach has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Titusville, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Cocoa Beach wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-14 loss against Sebastian River on the 21st. As for Titusville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-31 defeat against Heritage on the 21st.
