Volleyball Recap: Masuk Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Masuk was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Norwalk on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Ridgefield Tigers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Masuk still got an impressive performance from Mary-Kate Boyle, who had 19 digs and two assists. Boyle is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Masuk's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Ridgefield, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Masuk will square off against New Canaan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Ridgefield and Bridgeport Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
