Baseball Recap: Vanden Takes a Loss

Vanden was the 6-2 winner over Rodriguez when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vanden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kekoa Grinton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Vanden's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Rodriguez, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vanden will challenge Wood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rodriguez, they will face off against Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
