Baseball Game Preview: Foundation Academy Lions vs. Mount Dora Hurricanes

The Foundation Academy Lions will head out to take on the Mount Dora Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Foundation Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Mount Dora will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, everything went Foundation Academy's way against Montverde Academy as Foundation Academy made off with a 9-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Michael Surane looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Barak Boston was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Chase Beasley, who went a perfect1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Mount Dora fell victim to Umatilla and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Mount Dora also got a good showing from Tyler Fletcher, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Foundation Academy pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mount Dora, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
