After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Forsyth, Lumpkin County was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans a 12-0 shutout. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

Lumpkin County's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lumpkin County is set to challenge their familiar foe North Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.8, the Trojans 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Greater Atlanta Christian will square off against rival Dawson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
