Tipton Christian Academy had lost three straight headed into Monday's matchup, but Maggie Elder didn't let it get to four. The Eagles came out on top against the Fayette Academy Vikings by a score of 3-1 on Monday with plenty of help from Elder, who had 20 digs and six aces. Elder is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Tipton Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-9.

Tipton Christian Academy's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Fayette Academy, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Coming up, Tipton Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Jackson Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fayette Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fayette Ware on the 23rd.
