Basketball Recap: Senath-Hornersville Falls to Crowley's Ridge Academy in First Game of Season

Senath-Hornersville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. The game between the Lions and the Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons didn't end well, with the Lions falling 71-53. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Doss Clayton had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 37 points and 14 boards for Crowley's Ridge Academy. Clayton's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Sutton Campbell was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Crowley's Ridge Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Senath-Hornersville will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Southland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crowley's Ridge Academy, they will welcome Earle at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
