Basketball Recap: Greg Brooks' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Windsor Academy over First Presbyterian Day

Windsor Academy was the 61-44 winner over First Presbyterian Day when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights came up short against the Vikings on Thursday, falling 76-56.

Windsor Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greg Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Jaquan Lewis, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead First Presbyterian Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brett Roper, who went 9-for-16 en route to 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Roper continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Wilson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Windsor Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for First Presbyterian Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Windsor Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-49 win against Covenant Academy on the 6th. As for First Presbyterian Day, they have also already played their next game, a 59-57 victory against Trinity Christian on the 5th.
