Basketball Recap: Eau Gallie Takes a Loss

Eau Gallie was the 75-61 winner over Deltona when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Eau Gallie Commodores took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deltona Wolves on Thursday. The Commodores have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tim Mccarthy was the offensive standout of the match as he posted 12 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Cerrud, who put up eight points and seven assists.

Eau Gallie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Deltona, they moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Eau Gallie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-42 loss against Flagler Palm Coast on the 3rd. As for Deltona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 83-62 defeat against Legacy Charter on the 3rd.
