Softball Recap: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Ironwood Eagles

After only one run in their last contest, Mountain Pointe made sure to put some runs up on the board against Ironwood on Tuesday. The Mountain Pointe Pride were the clear victor by a 13-5 margin over the Ironwood Eagles. While the Pride didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lauryn Chavez was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk).
