Softball Game Preview: West Caldwell Warriors vs. North Lincoln Knights

The West Caldwell Warriors will head out to take on the North Lincoln Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Caldwell's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so North Lincoln's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

West Caldwell will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Maiden, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors skirted past the Blue Devils 3-1.

Meanwhile, North Lincoln came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 12-0 win. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

West Caldwell pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
