Volleyball Recap: Lewis Mills Spartans vs. Glastonbury Guardians
Lewis Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Glastonbury Guardians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 23-25, 25-16, 25-17.
Noah Galvin paced Lewis Mills' offense, picking up seven kills. Galvin got some help from Gage Velliquette and his 19 assists. Finally, Galvin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Glastonbury's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Salonia led the charge by getting five digs and two aces. What's more, Salonia racked up six assists, the most he's had over his last nine matches. Jackson Ennis also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
Lewis Mills' loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Glastonbury, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.
