Baseball Recap: West Allis Central Starts Season with Loss on the Road

West Allis Central had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Shorewood Greyhounds, falling 15-3. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

West Allis Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Schroeder, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Joey Webb, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

The victory (which was Shorewood's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Allis Central will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Waukesha South at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shorewood, they will take on Augustine Prep at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
